Every time the skin is exfoliated, skin cells rapidly go into a repair mode to stimulate new cells, which leave the skin fresh, firm and glowing. When you receive one of our medical grade facials on a regular basis, your skin never gets a chance to be lazy. Instead, its always repairing and producing new skin, helping you maintain the after-treatment glow all month long.
We always recommend that clients have facials once a month, because nothing you do at home can replace professional attention. Also, your skin is doing different things depending on the season and your lifestyle, so having a monthly check-in with a professional ensures you are getting the best treatment.
It’s important to note that because our skin cell turnover cycle is 28 days long, getting a professional facial more than once a month could be irritating to the skin. There are exceptions to this rule, though, so it’s always best to follow the protocol recommended by a professional. This also can be a concern when patients take their skin care into their own hands.
Other factors can be the exception to the rule. Skin Type: There are many different skin types—normal, dry, or oily. If you have oily, acne-prone skin with breakouts, blackheads, and clogged pores, you should get a facial at least every month, perhaps more frequently, until it is cleared out and calmed down.
