PDO THREADS

Neck and Chin Thread Lifting is a minimally-invasive procedure designed to address typical neck and chin concerns such as unwanted fullness under the chin, sagging skin, and drooping jowls. Our Thread Expert strategically inserts collagen-stimulating long and short threads beneath the skin, to can naturally lift and tighten the neck skin, producing satisfying results usually associated with invasive surgical interventions such as neck lifts.

PDO Threads

PDO Threads provide a great alternative to facelifts, neck lifts, and other types of skin tightening surgery. Through this minimally invasive procedure, the skin is lifted with minimal downtime. A PDO thread is an absorbable suture that is flexible and durable.

To make the PDO thread procedure as comfortable as possible, a topical anesthetic will be applied before the procedure begins. The PDO threads are inserted into a long cannula beneath the skin. The threading process can be repeated until the desired lift is achieved. Despite lifting the skin, the threads do not fix severe skin laxity.

Treatment may take up to two hours, and you can immediately resume your daily activities. The threads dissolve after 6-9 months, and collagen production stimulates cellular renewal, keeping the skin lifted, tightened, and rejuvenated.

PDO Threads can be used to lift several different areas of the body, including:

  • Cheeks

  • Stomach

  • Jowls

  • Eyebrow area for brow lift

  • Neck

  • Knees

  • Upper arms

  • Thighs

  • Buttocks

  • PDO threads are dissolvable sutures that are placed deep into the skin to support tissue that has lost density and elasticity due to aging and mechanically lift and tighten the area. Their main component is Polydioxanone, which disappears six months after treatment and stimulates collagen production to maintain body contours and rejuvenated skin.

  • You can expect the best results in 2-3 months following your PDO thread lift.

  • PDO threads and the collagen produced by the threads may last up to two years, but the procedure results vary.

  • You may experience minor discomfort after your procedure. You can resume your regular activities afterward, but you should wait 24 hours before engaging in strenuous physical activity.
